Which formats perform best
Native dashboards usually sort posts by recency. Viably ranks formats by results.
- Viably ranks formats on the average post, so posting more of one format doesn't inflate its rank.
- Engagement is likes, comments, shares and saves added together. Viably uses the same sum on every platform.
- Viably never sums reach across posts, since the same person reached twice is still one person. The headline shows the furthest a single post travelled.
- An Instagram professional account, a Facebook Page, or a Threads account, and an admin of your Viably workspace to connect it.
- Connecting signs you in to the platform itself. Instagram and Threads need only the account and the permissions.
- Permission lasts sixty days on Instagram and Threads, and Viably renews it before it lapses, so you only have to connect an account once.

A dash usually means one of two things: the platform does not report that metric, or that post has not been collected yet.
Not in one table. Threads has no reach metric and its views are much lower than Instagram's, so Viably ranks Threads posts separately.

The post figures add up what Viably discovered and measured. The account figures come from the platform's own reporting and cover the account's overall performance.
Viably walks back through the account's published posts and fills the list in over the first day or so. Facebook is the only one of the three that also serves historical account figures, so a Page arrives with follower and page-view history right away.
