Instagram, Facebook and Threads, in one report.

Connect your accounts once and Viably finds every post they publish, from the app, a scheduler or a colleague’s phone. Each one is measured every hour while the numbers climb, and Monday’s summary lands in Slack, so nobody opens three apps to learn how the week went.

Free plan forever with no credit card, and unlimited seats on every plan.

2 accounts on the Free plan and 6 on Viably+. Viably only reads, and never posts for you.

One social report for Instagram, Facebook and Threads: posts, engagement, reach or views, and follower growth over the last thirty days, with each account’s best posts. Metrics a platform does not report show a dash.

Posts Viably can publish

Every post, found on its own.

Viably walks back through each connected account and records everything it has published: the caption, the format, the link and the date. Keep your scheduler, keep posting from your phone, and the report still has every post.

New posts join on the next sweep. On a fresh connection the back catalogue fills in over the first day or so, as the sweep works its way to the account’s first post.

Measured while it moves

Numbers read while they are still climbing, then set against the month.

A post earns most of its engagement in its first day or two, so Viably reads it while it climbs and stops once it settles. On most accounts a fifth of the posts earn most of the engagement, so the report puts the month's best posts beside the median post and the top fifth's share, and you plan around what landed. It waits for 20 measured posts before saying so, because the top fifth of eight posts is two lucky ones.

One reel’s engagement climbing to 712 over its first thirty days, read every hour and then every day. Then all 24 posts from the month, in the order posted and best first: the top 5 earned 72% of the engagement, and the median post earned 34.

5 posts out of 24 earned 72% of the month. Most of what the account publishes is not what carries it, and that is worth knowing before planning next month.

Honest by platform

Each platform counts different things. The report says which.

Only Instagram reports reach and saves. Facebook stopped serving views and reach for Pages, and Threads reports views without reach. Where a platform says nothing, Viably shows a dash, because a zero would tell you a post reached nobody.

Engagement is likes, comments, shares and saves added up the same way on every platform, so two accounts can sit side by side.

Monday’s social report, already in Slack.

The weekly pulse carries a Social line for each connected account, with a button that opens the day-by-day breakdown in the thread. Anyone can ask @Via which post did best or which account gained followers, and the answer comes from your own synced numbers.

  • A broken connection becomes an inbox card

When a token expires or access is removed, the people who own that account get a card in the Team Inbox that says how to fix it.

  • A quiet account shows up on Home

Viably compares each account with its own posting rhythm and flags it on Home when it falls behind. A Page that posts twice a year is held to that pace.

Social reporting comes with every plan, including the weekly pulse, @Via and the Home widget. A Facebook Page and the Instagram account linked to it are the usual pair, which is why the Free plan covers two. Viably+ tracks 6, with unlimited seats for the whole team.

FAQ

Questions about social media analytics

Does Viably post to my social accounts?
No. Viably asks for reporting permissions only, so it can't publish, schedule or reply on any account you connect.
Will it see posts I didn't make through Viably?
Yes. Viably finds everything an account has published, whether it came from the platform's own app, a scheduling tool or a teammate's phone.
Which social platforms does Viably support?
Instagram, Facebook Pages and Threads. Each connects with its own sign-in, and the report shows every account in the platform's own terms.
Why is there a dash instead of a number?
The platform doesn't report that metric. Only Instagram reports reach and saves, Facebook no longer serves views or reach for Pages, and Threads has views without reach. A dash keeps a missing number from reading as a zero.
How often are the numbers updated?
Every hour for a post's first 48 hours, then once a day until it is thirty days old. By then engagement has settled, and the last reading stays on the post.
Can I get social media reports in Slack?
Yes. The weekly pulse carries a Social line for each connected account, and anyone can ask @Via about an account's best post or follower growth from any channel.
Can I compare Instagram against Threads?
Each account reads on its own terms. Threads reports no reach and its view counts run far lower than Instagram's, so one mixed ranking would mostly rank the platforms. Engagement is added up the same way everywhere, which keeps accounts comparable side by side.
How much does it cost?
The Free plan tracks 2 accounts with every feature. Viably+ tracks 6, costs seven dollars a day billed annually, includes unlimited seats and starts with a 14-day trial.
