A Page that arrives with its own history.
Facebook is the only one of the three platforms that serves historical account figures, so a Page you connect this afternoon comes with follower and reach history already in place rather than starting from the day you signed in.
We rebuilt our reporting on the data Google already gives us. Here is what it found in the first week.
What a Page reports, past and present.
Permissions cover reporting only. Nothing is ever published or scheduled on your behalf, and the Page's own publishing tools carry on exactly as they were.
Per post
Collected hourly for the first 48 hours and daily up to 30 days.- ViewsReachReactionsCommentsShares
Per Page, historical
Backfilled on connection, which is what separates Facebook from the other two and makes a trend readable on day one.- Followers over timeReach over time
Per Page, current
- FollowersReachPosts published
A trend you can read before you have published anything.
Most analytics tools begin the story on the day you installed them, which makes the first month worthless for deciding anything. A connected Page brings its follower and reach curves with it, so the question of whether the last quarter went well is answerable straight away.
- History on connection
Follower and reach figures are loaded back as far as Facebook serves them, then kept current alongside everything published afterwards.
- Read-only, and nothing else
The permissions Viably asks for cover reporting. There is no publishing scope, so nothing can appear on the Page because of something here.
- Measured while it still moves
Hourly for the first two days and daily to thirty, after which engagement settles and the reporting stops earning its keep.

Reactions and shares, on the average post.
Formats are ranked on what the typical post achieves, so publishing a lot of one thing does not make it look like the strongest performer. Reach is never summed across posts, because the same person reached twice is still one person, so the headline shows the furthest a single post travelled.

The week's Page line, in the channel that already gets one.
Your weekly pulse carries a line for each connected account, and Via answers questions about what performed well, what gained followers and which post was the best of the week wherever somebody asks.

One workspace price, however many Pages you run.
Viably goes and asks Facebook for these numbers on a schedule, so what it costs follows how often it asks. Connect every Page the business runs and the whole team still reads one dashboard at no extra charge.
