The table posted in the thread carries the five you read while deciding who to follow up with. The CSV carries everything, which is what makes it worth importing.

Extraction happens away from the channel. Viably confirms what it queued straight away, the service does the reading, and the result posts itself back into the same thread whenever it is ready, so nobody sits watching a spinner.

  • One photo, many cards

    A phone picture of a whole stack is fine. Viably reads every card in the frame, so nobody has to shoot them one at a time.

  • Answers in the thread, never the channel

    Results reply under the original message, so a scan does not interrupt whatever else the channel was doing.

  • Only where you said so

    A camera reaction in a channel that is not on the OCR list is ignored, which keeps an emoji somebody sent as a joke from starting a job.

A CSV is a fine ending, and a contact record is a better one.

The file is yours to import wherever you like. If you would rather the people you met became records that keep collecting their own history, point your forms and your payment provider at Viably too, and the person whose card you scanned in March is the same record as the invoice they paid in June.
